From Emergency to a Long-Term Solution
Patient Overview:
Ms. Shalini Anand visited Dr. Gul’s Dental Clinic in an emergency situation during her working hours after the crown on her previously root canal-treated front tooth fractured. The sudden damage left a visible gap in her smile, making her feel uncomfortable and concerned about returning to work.
Since she needed an immediate solution, Dr. Gul Zehra focused on restoring her smile temporarily without delay. Within 30–40 minutes, a clear retainer was prepared, and her existing crown was secured within it. This allowed Ms. Shalini to return to work comfortably, with her smile restored, until a permanent treatment plan could be completed.
For long-term restoration, a CBCT scan was performed to evaluate the condition of the front teeth and supporting structures. Based on the findings, a comprehensive smile rehabilitation plan was created, including veneers, crowns, and a dental implant with an implant crown.

The final treatment restored the missing front tooth, improved the appearance of the surrounding teeth, and created a more balanced and natural-looking smile.
Ms. Shalini’s case highlights the importance of managing dental emergencies with both immediate care and long-term planning. This provides patients with relief in the moment while we work towards a more permanent solution.
